beginning Piano class lab
Learning to play the piano can be one of the most rewarding experiences of a child’s life. Not only does the student learn how to read music, but they also learn creativity, self-expression and discipline that can benefit them for the rest of their lives. For many, playing the piano provides many years of enjoyment and holds the basics for learning other instruments. However, many children need an introductory environment to see if this is something they and their parents want to pursue further. These classes are here to meet that need in a fun, group setting.
How do you teach piano to several children at once? I have a classroom setting with seven electronic pianos and headphones. This is called a piano lab and it is what music colleges use to teach class piano. The headphones connect directly to the teacher headphone and piano. This allows for many fun opportunities for group and individual piano activities. You do not have to have a piano or keyboard at home for these beginner classes. Seven students is the maximum size for a class. The class meets 45-50 minutes once per week. The monthly fee is $65 which includes all books and materials. What a value for a beginning pianist!!
